10 meses... abuelita ya

So people are always talking about how they were bitten by a dog in the mission.... well... heres my tale of woe...
It was a wednesday... I was on splits with the sister training leaders and we were walking down the street in the middle of siesta... so there wasnt anyone....
and it was silent, all the argentinos were dreaming about empanadas in their houses... when suddenly a flash of white and something is chewing my foot like crazy!!! I kept trying to shake it off because I couldnt see what it was... yeah... it was a little dog about the size of my foot. It was white and had little pink clothes, and it was super angry. hahahha it passed my companion and went straight to my foot. and ow! Really, just like mom, all tiny people or dogs have a lot more rage. hahahaha But not how I imagined... but my first dog bite. hahaha a little boy came running out yelling, Rosita veni, veni!!!

Also our investigadores are the bomb.com... already two have asked us if they could pay tithing. and another when we taught about temples, she asked us how much she needed to pay for the trip to go... I just love how people accept and want to live this life. Really here in Guemes were just trying to be in the right spot at the right time, because God is doing all the work, and preparing hearts like crazy here. Last night, my comp went with another hermana to talk to people in the streets, and just as the Catholic church was parading by with their virgens, they contacted a man who was just sad. he was so depressed and crying and they talked to him, and as they were leaving he said that he was grateful for them...because he had pleading for an answer if he needed to continue living or no.... it was really humbling to hear..... God really does answer prays. We just need to have the patience to recognize the answers.
I LOVE THIS WORK AND ALL YOUR FACES!!!
Ooh and one of my companions in my other area told me that my investigadores are getting baptized next week!!! yay!!!!!
Love ya all,
Hermana B.

I think its Friday the 13th... black cat crossing?

This week was probably the most interesting of my life... im still not sure if it was in a good way or in a bad way... hahah buuuut. I sure did learn alot!
My favorite scripture of the week, is in Doctrina and Convenios 3:3:

 Remember, remember that it is not the work of God that is frustrated, but the work of men;

Sometimes, its a good reminder that this isnt the work of me, of Hermana Bower. Sometimes I can see that, when I open my mouth and its obvious its what I want to say and not the spirit talking its like oh darn it! hahahaha This week my card with all my photos.. its gone. no more photos of my mission. Yup, darn you argentina. hahahaha but this week was so bad it was funny. Hermana Barnes had birds poop on her like 10 times, we forgot the key to our apartment and broke in like 5 times, and our apartment is dying and right now we have one working outlet and the bathroom just gave up and just little things that its like seriously... hahaha how mean. hahaha But its times when all I can do is laugh because what the heck is happening here? Its ridiculous... but Yet, Im really happy to be here.
also Our investigators, Vetiana and Roberto... theyre gold.
We taught them about the Book of Mormon, and they asked us where they could buy one. How much it costed and what they needed to do to find one. Obviously we gave them one.. but it made me stop and think. How grateful are we for these restuared truths. Are we willing to do all we can to know God? In the scriputes, the dad of the King Lamoni was asking what he needed to give to have this peace that Christ gives us, to have the life eternal. He was willing to give up all of his kingdom to have it. What are we willing to give?
I LOVE YOU ALL!! Thanks for the emails and the letters!
Hermana B

To the Fam:
HEEEEEELLLLLLOOOO!! This week has seriously been a week of bad luck. hahahaha I fell trying to run to the apartment in time, slid in the gravel and took a knee... a moment of silence was had for the blood shed. and then I kept on running only to get to the pension late by two minutes. ahhh man! hahaha
And then I was cooking milanesa and burned my hand with oil... and then today i was playing volleyball and now my wrist is swollen. hahahaha and I lost all my photos... and welll... what the heck... but Ill take all this over the bird poop that was constantly in the hair of Hermana Barnes... poor girl. hahahhahaha
AHHHH we are soooo close to the baptism of Lujan and Hermano Albillo... so close!!! I love you all! So sad we couldnt really talk today. hasta lunes!! Ill be waiting for you emails!!

Im good... hahahahah really Im fine.. just laughing. like seriously... its probably the fastest ive healed in my life. im literally fine. hahaha   soo sad about my photos.. but its like it says in the scriputes... we dont need the things of the world. hahahahah wow... I never thought i would have some of these challenges here. I thought it would all be spiritual challenges or something.
But the apartment was fixed so im really happy... like really.  because now we have a toilet seat and outlets that work.. im living the ratchet life guys. hahhahaha its so hilarious sometimes. hahahah

Not literally because already, Hermana Barnes who lives with us.. she already accidentally punched a guy this week. Sometimes its not good to be animated. hahahahah

Happy Birthday America!!

You just know it that Im dressed in red, white, and blue, and Im making everyone in our apartment celebrate... who cares if theyre not from the US. hahaha
Today we're in Salta...living it up. And to celebrate America, we went to an American flea market, ate McDonalds, and tried to talk in English to these guys
who were talking in English... but they from Ireland and accent or no... they were rude... and I couldnt speak in English... la vida... hahaha And we're were pretty much just chilling it with Hermana Chaparro. Shes awesome sauce.

This week I pretty much met my Grandpa Simpson but latino... and hes going to get baptized in two weeks. Hes awesome! He was just wandering around in the Church and we kept losing track of him and alot of times I dont understand what hes saying but he did tell us that he knows he needs to be baptized.. because hes the last one in his family that isnt a member and his wife passed away 3 years ago. You can just see the light enter his eyes when he talks about baptism, his family, and living with them again. I love the hope this gospel brings.. there really is so much more to live for. I cant imagine a life without this faith.

And also... I really dont understand why everyone here is so obsessed with telling us that we are breaking the second commandment of God with having images.... its a picture of Jesus on a pamphlet... Teenagers are quoting the 10 commandments to us... its like okay... relax... I said Image because I dont know other words in Spanish... hahaha seriously!

Well we're kicking butt here in Guemes and taking names... for the baptism records that is... . we have way too many invesigators... and Im loving it.... oh thats the slogan of mcdonalds... oops.

I hope you are all grilling up a storm of BBQ, shooting off fireworks and thanking those soldiers that are already have and are still fighting for our country. Im far away but Ill always love some red white and blue.

LOVE YOU ALL!!!
Hermana B

P.s. my comp and I have an obsession with dogs here...
HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!! I hope you guys are going to light off the smiley face fireworks tonight... I wont see any fireworks until 9 de july because its independence day in argentina... but ill just pretend that its for america! hahahaha today is perfect because its pday. we spent it salta!! With Hna Chaparro. She loves us.. hahahah

This is the wall of missionaries... Im in the middle... ew. time is so fast!
