Caught red handed...

I don't have much time but this week... oh goodness... I'll just say that I do not want to leave my comp in two weeks. I just love her to death. The weirdest things have happened together, and we alot of times we dont understand what people are saying to us but, man oh man. I could be her comp forever. hahaha
This week we had a lot of suprises!
Like our aparment getting fixed and painted so we couldnt be our apartment at all. SUPRISE.
And Presidente coming to our apartment, entering and looking at everything and then saying we're going to have interviews right now. hahahah no.... Suprise!!
And also a couple called us when we were at lunch with members asking if we could stop by and help them... so we did. yeah suprise, I ended up painting a house while wearing a skirt. They really dont have anything, this family. They were putting up pieces of wood, and I was painting them. And I was literally painting with part of a pillow from their dogs bed.
The miracle, no paint on my clothes, the bad part...they didnt tell me it wasnt normal paint... It was varnish.... so my hands were stuck together for 2 HOURS!! hahahah It wasnt washing off with soap and water... luckily the painters were still in our apartment so they sent us to buy something to take off the paint... but... walking in the streets... the paint really really truly looked like blood drying on my hands... Everyone normally is staring at us but this time it was like a horror movie, the blonde walking down the street with blood dripping down her hands... everyone was scared of us... hahahahah it was terrible because I couldnt go to the bathroom for 2 hours but.... my comp is awesome and was carry all my stuff and opening doors. Lesson learned!!! hahahaha
And this week we finally told our investigador that if she wants to have her family forever and wants to be baptized, she needs to get married. She has 52 years and she FINALLY asked her "boyfriend" to marry her... Yeah he told her shes crazy, but PROGRESS!!! Woohoo!! hahaha The smallest of progress in the lives of people here is awesome!!
We also have a 9 yr old girl named Lujan that everyone in her family are less active members and she wanted to be baptized, but she told us that shes confused right now... Shes not sure if the Mormon church or the catholic church is right for her... 9 years old.... and shes confused. hhahaha yeah shes going to get baptized in two weeks.
LOVE YOU ALL!!!!
Keep on sharing the gospel, keep on helping people, and keep on sending me emails. ;)

So last night... hahahaha I was walking to the apartment and people started to leave the giant catholic church in front of us and they were holding banners and a giant cross. And they started marching...  towards us. we were so scared. hahaha it was liek a horror movie. I wanted to yell that i wasnt a vampire and they didnt need the cross. hahahaha and then they stopped walking in the middle of the street and lined up to march... and we hurried away. and we were watching and A TON more people began to leave the church and they were holding on a padded pillow, a statue of Jesus Christ and music started and they started preaching in a microphone and caminando in the streets. hahaha! AHHH

Why isnt this easy?

This week opened my eyes a bit....
We had one member ask us, "Why isn't this easy?".....
And I had to stop and think about it...
If this is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, if we're following him, if we're doing things right... why isn't it a little bit easier?
We went to a funeral this week of one less active member.. she was in the hospital all this time, really sick and we visted her the week before she died... and she admited to us that she hadn't seen her Visitng Teachers in a long time, and she didnt even know who they were anymore.... They had told her that they wouldnt be able to come for a bit because the partners were changing and they didnt know who would be her visiting teachers next.... We had told her that we were going to go find those sisters and harrass them to visit, and that we were going bug her and return and visit a lot more....She told us not to say anything to the sisters because they probably had their reasons for not coming... and well With my companion really sick this past week, we couldnt visit again, we were in the doctors everyday.... And shortly after she passed away.... Im not going to lie... this haunted me this week...
Why isnt this easy?---
This sister, died in a hospital which is literally the worst hopsital ive ever entered, she passed away without any comfort. She doesnt have family here, and no one from the church was visitng her.... Why are we members if we dont walk the path Christ walked? Its not easy for us because it never was easy for him. We cant expect as we try to follow him that itll be rainbows because to really follow him, we're going to have to experience a little of the pain he felt for us... but walking this path we'll have all the help of heaven... and walking this path, we NEED to help those others that have fallen along the way. That is what Christ did, that is what we need to do. So this week, think about who you can help, think about visitng your people. I dont know everything that happened with the sisters here and why they weren{t visitng... but we dont do visitng teaching to only say that we did.. We visit because we're standing in place of Jesus Christ, trying to help others because we love them. So who cares if they're the person you're assigned to visit or not. After Christ told the Apostles, "Come follow me," He afterwards told them "to feed my sheep". So please this week, help someone that has fallen, theres a ton of people waiting to be lifted up, to feel Gods love once again. Dont wait, dont hesitate... do it now. Don't wait until someone has to pass away to understand the importance..
I love you all!!!! I love this Gospel and I love God... I love the chance to learn and change and try to help people, Im not perfect and many times I say the wrong things, but I know that if I don't try, Im missing my opportunity to be an instrument in Gods hands.
LOVE YOU ALL!!
Hermana B.
And Happy Fathers Day!!! To all those fathers and all those who aren't, I hope everyone hugged their dads!! And all those that know my dad, please hug him for me. hahahaha you know he'll love hugs from other people. ;) hahahahahahahaha

The Gospel, the church, and BoM is bigger in Guemes

Aqui estoy!!
Well, Im dying of the cold but I'm as happy as could be!! My comp is Hermana Gimenez from Paraguay...Yeah shes pretty much my favorite person in the world. She speaks in a language that I dont even know how to spell. Shes from the tribes in Paraguay and shes never read the scriptures in her langauge before the mission because they dont exist. There not a single book in her language. They cant write the language because its so long. And well... so lessons are interesting because we both can't speak. hahahaha People just die laughing as we're miming to one another. hahahaha Aww but shes awesome! Shes 27 and will end the mission in 4 months.

And in other news... a guy came up to us asking about what the basic doctrine is of our church and started to record our answer. and things just got weirder and weirder until he just said Okay don't say anything more about the Book of Mormon... I don't want to hear it. If you think of anything else about what really is the basic doctrine of your church, you can find me later.
Uh.... The Book of Mormon really is our basic doctrine. Studying this book will literally teach you all you need to know about what we believe. And put that studies with the Bible... and mind blown. hahahaha People are so weird in every area.

We have an investigator who has 16 years and she really wants to steal my eyes. She told me that as she started to pet my head.... yeah.... okay. Sometimes she'll just stare into my eyes... but shes cool. hahaha shes has a date for baptism in like two weeks.
Oh and one of other investigators, she's literally the girl version of Miracle Max in the Princess Bride. Literally.... the way she looks, the way she talks.... its almost scary. hahahha but shes SUPÊR excited to be bapized. but she needs to get married first. Her name is Alicia. I just love all of these crazy nuts here in Guemes!!

LOVE YOU ALL!!!! I love that whatever area I come too, its just like I already know these people, like Ive known them for years.
Im ready for these miracles we're going to see.
